Yahoo - my dishcloth went out in today's mail for the exchange. We have our "opening" on May 1, so I hope it gets there in time. I went with the Grandmother's Favorite pattern because it seems like no matter how many patterns I try this one still remains my favorite. Is it because I truly like it or is it that it reminds me of my mother??? :)
And it just hit me that I took a picture of a picture! I wrote a note to Dawn on the back of a bluebonnet picture I'd taken because it's just a little piece of Texas winging its way to snowy Michigan (can't believe those pictures I've seen on tv about their recent snowstorm!).

I Love UPS!
Because they bring me stuff I've bought online! I got a box full of yarn and needles to make Lynne' the Ribbon Xback. She chose the Carnival colorway online and when she saw it in real life she was very happy with it. I'm a little concerned over the 16" Addi's though and think I should've gone with the 24". I guess that's one of those "live and learn" things. I would LOVE to cast on and work on this tonight, but feel I should work on the poncho instead.

Mitered Dishcloth
I wasn't feeling real great yesterday, so didn't want to work on the poncho and possibly mess it up. I started a Mitered Dishcloth with some leftover varigated yellow I had and loved how easy the pattern was working up.
However, I just finished it and am so disappointed - it's not square! This was going to be used as part of a gift and I can't bring myself to give it away looking like this, so I guess it'll go in the drawer to use. And I'll bet I don't use the pattern again.

Flowers for Swap
Today I got my flowers ready for my scrapbooking flower swap. I love the look of the silk flowers on cards and layouts and a friend proposed a swap. We had to find small, medium and large flowers and rip their little heads off! Mine are all bagged up and ready to go and the swap isn't even due until June. I'm just so proud!
I spent the evening Power Planning for a very long crop tomorrow. It'll be a new to me Recollections and I'm sure it'll be great. I've got some cards, layouts and recipe swap to work on and am hoping to finish all three. Perhaps my creative slump might be coming to an end. {fingers crossed here}

More Yarn, More Yarn!
Went to Hobby Lobby last night (less than a mile from my house!) to take some pictures. My daughter works in the fabric department and she had sewn a blouse and velvet vest that is the renaissance style and it's on display now, so naturally I considered that a Kodak moment! When I was done there I swung through the yarn section, especially the endcaps with markdowns, and got 4 skeins of dishcloth cotton and 2 skeins of sock yarn that was marked down to $1.50 and was a nice solid, dusty blue.
You know, when I started knitting I SWORE I would NOT have a stash cause I did that when I was real into quilting and still have way too much stuff. And what am I doing? Making a stash. {sigh} What's a woman to do???
Oh and I forgot to mention - I won a yarn auction on ebay a few days ago. Hmm...and ordered the Crystal Palace Deco Ribbon for the X-Back top for my daughter that hasn't arrived yet.
I did actually knit on the poncho while Keith and I watched a movie tonight. I'm up to 23 inches on the first half, so starting to get excited and antsy! I dearly love working with this Bamboo yarn - the colors are so pretty and the drape is quite nice.
